What to Do and How to Apply?

  • How it works:
    1. We, YUMICA Adventures Co., as an agent of an ESL/college/university in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada recommend designated educational institutions, which match your demands. We hold good discount rates for both groups and individuals.
    2. You have to transfer a fixed amount of money (usually a registration fee as of 100/250 CAD depending on school) to an educational institution in British Columbia or to us. The sum is later reduced from the tuition fee.
    3. ESL/college/university in British Columbia sends a ‘Letter of Acceptance’ to you as a confirmation of payment.
    4. You get visa form the Canadian Consulate. The fee is CAD $ 75 or ¥ 6.400.
    5. You pay the rest of the tuition/home-stay fees, or you may bring the funds with you on arrival.
    6. You purchase air-plain tickets and, well, arrive in Vancouver. ESL/college/university representatives meet you at the airport and transport you to school. There the host families pick you up to go to their houses. Or, you are placed at the dormitory.

  • Read (!) Our Project on accepting students for one-month course at ESL/College/University (full-time)

  • YUMICA Adventures Co. offers a separate package on tourism/leisure activities: sightseeing, hiking, BBQs, adventure and eco-tourism, etc.: Leisure Activities & Fun

  • Some ESLs and colleges we cooperate with:
INTRAX: it’s a resourceful institution with many interesting packages, including internship placement, children programme, etc. There are summer camps for kids & youth at the University of BC, Whistler. The school has campuses in the U.S., New Zealand & Australia. It’s within 2-3 minutes walk from Burrard sky-train station and 4-5 minutes within two other stations. Located in downtown Vancouver.

King George International College: is a college with several campuses in Vancouver, Victoria. Lots of disciplines in business, finances, marketing. It’s within 12-15 minutes walk from Burrard sky-train station, or you may take a bus.

Canadian as a Second Language Institute: it’s a unique school in Vancouver – it’s the only one which offers a dorm in its building. It’s within 12-15 minutes walk from Burrard sky-train station, or you may take a bus.

  • Our comments: Many schools and colleges offer a variety of activities apart from instructing like sports, games, sightseeing, etc. However we did customize it, and YUMICA Adventures Co. comes up with our own Entertainment Programme, which includes tourism, sightseeing, leisure activities, etc.
  • A home-stay is a unique opportunity to learn expressing yourself in English in relaxed atmosphere. There, you’ll also have a three-day meal (including lunch, which you take to studies). You’ll be staying in a separate room. To reduce expenses it is also possible to live-in with a mate, friend, or sibling.
